Description
The National Psoriasis Foundation (NPF) provides support and information to psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis patients, increases public awareness of the disorder, funds research, and represents the interests of patients in Federal hearings. The staff answers inquiries, disseminates foundation publications approved by its Medical Advisory Board, and coordinates a parents hotline and pen pal clubs for patients of all ages. There are no local chapters. The Foundation is supported by donations from members, businesses, and other foundations.

The NPF publishes brochures and fact sheets for laymen on managing psoriasis and on the latest research. Serial publication: Newsletter, bimonthly--tips for coping with the disorder, research; Annual Report, articles on research and management of the disease, as well as a report on Foundation activities.
