Description
The National Safe Boating Council (NSBC) was formed in September 1958 as the National Safe Boating Committee and currently supports a volunteer membership of over 360 organizations. These organizations are Federal, State, and local agencies involved in recreational boating safety and educational activities, national and regional nonprofit public service organizations, and national nonprofit boating industry organizations. The Council promotes and sponsors annual boating education conferences and boating safety instructor training in addition to National Safe Boating Week.

Print Resources
The NSBC produces materials for National Safe Boating Week, which includes a press kit, booklets, flyers, posters, and sticker. They also produce the "Boating Safety Sidekicks" a very popular series of kid's activity booklets. Proceedings from the International Boating and Water Safety Summit are also available.
