New from USA.gov
Release Date: February 2009 Version in Spanish

CHANGE HAS COME TO GOBIERNOUSA.GOV

A lot is changing: a new year, a new season, and new era in history with a new president. And GobiernoUSA.gov—the official Spanish web portal of the U.S. government and USA.gov’s counterpart—is keeping up with the changes.

GobiernoUSA.gov is still the place to go for information on everything from finding government benefits and services online to getting pointers on going green. But now, check out the new section of original content posted on the 1st and 16th of each month. You’ll find relevant and timely articles on subjects like applying for financial aid, preparing taxes, and learning the latest about America’s transition to digital television.

You can subscribe to GobiernoUSA.gov’s RSS feeds for updates on great government resources. And follow GobiernoUSA.gov on Twitter to find out about new information added to the site and special events. If you want to share GobiernoUSA.gov on your own Web site or blog, take a look at the new widget on the right-hand side of the “Más noticias del Gobierno” page under the “Noticias” box. Use the link below the widget and give your friends the latest government information instantly.

If you’re curious about what others are looking up on GobiernoUSA.gov, the new tag cloud allows you to see the most popular searched terms on the site like citizenship, jobs, and immigration.

GobiernoUSA.gov makes it easy to get the information you’re looking for. You can get answers to your specific questions when you click on “Contactos” at the top of any page to e-mail GobiernoUSA.gov in Spanish. You’ll get a response in two business days. If you prefer the phone, use the toll-free number, 1 (800) FED-INFO (that’s 1-800-333-4636) and choose option #2 to speak with an information specialist in Spanish. Specialists are available Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Eastern time.

Changes are good, and GobiernoUSA.gov has plenty of them. But it’s still the place to go for the useful government information you and your family can rely on.
