- How to acquire property (saving taxpayers' dollars)
Topics include:
We will also discuss seized, forfeited, voluntarily abandoned and unclaimed personal property; abandonment and destruction; sales of personal property and exchange sales. This course will benefit both the experienced Property Management professional as well as newcomers. Course will be taught by GSA Personal Property Management staff. Space is limited to the first 100 customers. Most courses offer Continuous Learning Points (CLPs).

Driving Directions to Metcalfe Federal Building:
From O'Hare Airport (about 17 miles): head south to Bessie Coleman Dr., merge onto I-190 E toward Chicago. I-190 E becomes I-90 E/Kennedy Expressway East, take the East Jackson Blvd exit (Exit 51G). Turn left onto W. Jackson Blvd to 77 W. Jackson Blvd. Chicago, IL 60604.
From Midway Airport (about 21 miles): head south on S. Cicero Ave/IL-50 toward W. 59th Street, make a U-turn at W. 63rd Street. Take a right onto the Stevenson Expressway I-55 ramp to Chicago. Merge onto I-55 N, take exit (292A) for I-90/I-94 Ryan Expressway. Merge onto I-90 W to I-94 W. Take exit 51 H and merge onto I-290 E. Take the Franklin Street exit, turn right at S. Franklin St, turn right at W. Jackson Blvd to 77 W. Jackson Blvd., Chicago, IL 60604.
Parking: is available with costs starting at $18.00 for the first few hours. Some hotels offer parking - please ask about parking fees when reserving your room.
Public transportation is available through Chicago's METRA . There are several stops near the training facility. You must pre-purchase your ticket from the ticket agent or a $2.00 fee will be added to your commute.The Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) cost is $2.25 per ride.
Required Identification: attendees must have either a Military or Government ID, or valid driver's license to enter the building.
For Special Needs: the facility is handicapped accessible. If you need a sign language interpreter or any other special accommodations, please advise the contact listed below immediately.
