About the Smaller Learning Communities Programs

The Smaller Learning Communities program awards discretionary grants to lcoal educational agencies (LEAs) to support the restructuring of large public high schools with enrollments of 1,000 or more students. On May 18, 2007, the U.S. Department of Education published in the Federal Register a Notice of Proposed Priority, Requirements, and Selection Criteria for the FY 2007 competition.
