Honors Increased at Arlington National Cemetery
Beginning January 1, 2009, the Secretary of the Army has mandated a new policy
to honor any soldier dying as a result of wounds received in military action. As a result, soldiers interred, inurned, or
memorialized at Arlington may now receive full honors with additional elements, including an escort platoon, a colors
