Outerwears Inc. Recalls Filters Used in Fuel Funnels Due to Fire Hazard

The Funnel Pre-Filters can create a flash when they are removed from the fuel tank posing a fire hazard. Outerwears received three reports of flashing when the funnel is removed from the fuel tank following a fueling event. No injuries have been reported. These filters are used to fuel-up off-road and racing vehicles. The recall involves Outerwears Funnel Pre-Filters, or fuel funnel pre-filters, with the model numbers 20- 2465-03, 20-2466-03, 20-2467-03, and 20-2474-03. The red fabric mesh filters were available in two sizes, small and large, and in two different shapes to accommodate various sizes of fueling funnels.
