EXTRAORDINARY HEROES BREAKFAST

It is an honor to present the American Red Cross’ signature fundraising event “Ordinary People….Extraordinary Heroes” that will take place on May 20, 2009 at the Embassy Suites in Seaside .  The Heroes Breakfast event is a celebration of the spirit of humanitarianism, where ordinary people with extraordinary efforts are honored. The concept of the Heroes Breakfast event grew out of a desire to recognize those at the local level whose heroic acts mirror the daily accomplishments of the American Red Cross.   Funds raised through day-of-the-event dollars and corporate sponsorships at the 5th Annual Heroes Breakfast, provide the Red Cross with the money necessary to support the programs and services like disaster relief.  Every five days, the Monterey-San Benito Counties Chapter of the American Red Cross responds to the needs of local families who have lost their homes due to house fires.  Individuals wishing to attend the Ordinary People...Extraordinary Heroes Breakfast will be invited to make a $111 donation per breakfast...one dollar for each year of Red Cross service to the community.  Those wishing to learn more are encouraged to call 424-4824.  Please join us for an event that will touch your heart and inspire your day as we honor nine of Monterey and San Benito Counties heroes of 2009.
