This revision of ADS 252, Visa Compliance for Exchange Visitors, clarifies the roles of the Responsible Officer and the Alternate Responsible Officer; adds an exception to the J-1 visa for holders of B-1/B-2 Border Crossing Cards or B-1/B-2 Border Crossing Visas; clarifies which ADS 252 provisions remain applicable when a visa other than J is used; and, mandates which documents must be uploaded to exchange visitor VCS files.
