1998 Annual Report on Cocaine Use Among Arrestees

April 1999
The 1998 Annual Report on Cocaine Use Among Arrestees summarizes trends in cocaine use among arrestees from cities participating in the Arrestee Drug Abuse Monitoring Program (ADAM). The booklet charts use by region, age, and primary offense charge for both male and female offenders. Data showing historical trends (1990-98) are also included. Thirteen new sites were added to the ADAM data system in 1998, which showed that one-third of all adult male arrestees tested positive in 19 of 35 sites and that one-third of female arrestees tested positive in 24 of 32 sites that collect female data.
