Click, Ship, Save

Ship holiday presents without ever leaving your home

Heads will be turning in the Las Vegas Post Office on Tuesday, Dec. 2.

“We’re bringing your home into our office,” said Char Reeves, USPS Business Development Team Manager. “We’re doing this, so we can show you how to bring the Post Office into your home.”

The local office will have a living room set in the postal lobby to demonstrate the ease and convenience of Click-N-Ship, the Postal Services innovative stay-at-the office or home online shipping program.

“In just a few steps, you can calculate and print your postage,” said Reeves. “And then, with a simple click of the button, you can ask that your carrier pick your package up from your home.”

It’s the perfect solution for harried, hurried holiday shoppers.

One of the best options are flat-rate shipping boxes. Available in a variety of sizes, shippers can put as much as they can fit in the boxes – without worrying about the weight (up to 70 lbs.) And of course, the boxes are available online as well and can be sent directly to your home.

The demonstration will begin at 12 noon on Tues. Dec. 2 at the Las Vegas Main Post Office located at 1001 E. Sunset Rd.

An independent federal agency, the U.S. Postal Service is the only delivery service that visits every address in the nation — 146 million homes and businesses. It has 37,000 retail locations and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to pay for operating expenses, not tax dollars. The Postal Service has annual revenues of $75 billion and delivers nearly half the world’s mail.
