USCIS Welcomes New Citizens at the Home of George Washington
USCIS hosted a special naturalization ceremony for 53 new citizens at the estate of America's first president. Acting Director Jonathan Scharfen administered the Oath of Allegiance and offered congratulatory remarks.
This was the eighth naturalization ceremony at Mount Vernon. Ceremonies are often held at national and historic landmarks, to honor and extend U.S. Citizenship to new Americans.
