Before sending letters, parcels or EMS items, senders should check where the addressees are actually based in order to allow quick delivery of their items to their new addresses and, above all, to avoid unnecessary storage of postal items in the mobile offices serving the tent camps in the earthquake zone. Delivery of Letter Post items: Letter-post items addressed to the city of L’Aquila and other affected villages are being delivered directly to the tent camps. A special post office is currently collecting the names of people still living in tents in order to facilitate the delivery process. Delivery of parcels and EMS items: Below is a list of the destinations and postcodes currently served by the mobile post offices, which are responsible for general delivery (poste restante) of all parcels and EMS items.
