Education:
BS Honors 1976 University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, Biology
Microbiology major, Chemistry minor, English emphasis; postgraduate credits in virology and food microbiology

Primary responsibilities/activities:
Conduct research and technical assistance tasks of the Memorandum of Agreement between the Upper Midwest Environmental Sciences Center and Great Lakes Fishery Commission, in support of the Great Lakes Fishery Commission Integrated Management of Sea Lamprey (Petromyzon marinus) Control Program.  Primary focus is on compliance to regulations of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and Health Canada Pest Management Regulatory Agency as they relate to the lampricides TFM and niclosamide, and sea lamprey pheromone experimental use permits.

• Invasive species
• Fishery control chemicals
• Nontarget toxicity
• Refinement of lampricide treatments
• Vertebrate pheromones
• Pesticide and biopesticide regulations and registrations in the United States and Canada
• Quality assurance

Active Projects:

• General technical assistance in support of the Great Lakes Fishery Commission Integrated Management of Sea Lamprey (Petromyzon marinus) Control Progam
• General regulatory affairs in support of lampricides and sea lamprey pheromones sponsored by the Great Lakes Fishery Commission
• Support for pheromone experimental use permits and initial registration information development activities of migratory and mating sea lamprey pheromones
• Study of issues related to stream pH variation and lampricide treatments. 
• Toxicity of lampricides to mudpuppies
• Reevaluate low pH/low alkalinity minimum lethal concentrations
• Analysis of water, sediment, and insects collected during a lampricide treatment
