JTC’s Vocabulary Book lists words and categories of words to help parents document and encourage their preschool children’s growing language skills. English/Spanish versions

Available in April 2009:

A bound edition of  JTC’s Preschool Distance Course for Parents of Preschoolers with Hearing Loss provides suggestions for language learning through play and conversation.

The tips include ideas for listening and spoken language but can be applied to varied approaches and technologies because the focus is communication success. English/Spanish versions

Available in May 2009:

A bound edition of JTC’s Distance Course for Parents of Babies (age 0-2) with Hearing Loss provides guidance on language and child development for families.  The suggestions include spoken language and listening examples but can be used with any approach a family chooses.  Parent-child communication is the key. English and Spanish versions

*** Families of babies and preschoolers can enroll at no charge in JTC’s Distance Education for Parents of Young Children with Hearing Loss.  Parents receive at no cost Course materials, additional publications and personalized ongoing guidance via email or regular mail in response to their comments and reports to JTC after using each lesson.
