Kirsten Neff locates construction sites for GSA, helps kids in the community

Kirsten Neff, Deputy Director, Office of the Deputy Asst. Regional Administrator for Operations, PBS says 'GSA is a great place to work from the perspective of the breadth of opportunity that GSA can provide its employees'
  • - Kirsten Neff has been with GSA for five years and is part of a team of specialists who identify and procure sites for new construction projects. Among all GSA regions but one – National Capital Region – her Region 4 has one of the largest program workloads for new construction. As a part of site procurement, Kirsten’s team handles the environmental review process along with the relocation of tenants and manages historic issues related to the procurement.

  • - Neff also serves as Site Selection Director within the Real Estate, Design and Construction organization. She somehow also finds time to manage the site acquisition and relocation, Historic Preservation and Fine Arts programs for her region.

  • - “That is one of the things I love being in GSA. I can be in a construction management role and move into asset management or move into our leasing area and realty services or learn about other parts of the business or help with other organizational development issues. When I went to my GSA New Associate indoctrination, the theme was You Can Do That Here and that is really true at GSA.”

  • - As active as Kirsten is with her job at GSA, she finds time for community service. “I’m on the Board of Directors of a nonprofit here in Atlanta called Covenant House Georgia. Their main mission is to provide services to at-risk youth. These are kids who are literally homeless on the streets and in crisis. They’ve come from a variety of different locations including foster care or just broken homes or other situations and need stabilization.”

  • - GSA – along with many children in need – has been touched by Kirsten Neff; a person we’re proud to call one of the GSA family.
