Toilet Training

Children with fragile X syndrome often have delays in toilet training. Read up on strategies for teaching this skill and then choose one or a variation of one to try with your child to see the response. If your child shows some success, then continue the training. If your child is resistant or it appears your child is not ready, stop the process. Then, step back -- look at what worked and what did not work, and figure out how you want to approach it next time. Your child will have success.
