Our Campus

Training KennelSoutheastern Guide Dogs is situated in a peaceful setting on a 23-acre campus on the gulf coast of Florida in beautiful Manatee County.

Our facilities consist of a student housing and administrative building, a training kennel, a breeding and puppy kennel, and a dog evaluation kennel.

Our campus also features a series of pathways, called the Freedom Walk. These landscaped paths are used as a practical classroom for training blind and visually impaired students to use a guide dog. Each segment of the Freedom Walk includes specific training modules with obstacles, crosswalks, and other challenges that the blind student can expect to encounter in their daily life.

Our downtown training center in Bradenton allows students to become familiar with their guide dog in a metropolitan setting.
