Timothy O. Horne - Acting Regional Administrator, Rocky Mountain Region

Timothy O. Horne was appointed Acting Regional Administrator for the Rocky Mountain Region effective February 9, 2009.

As Acting Regional Administrator, Horne oversees real estate services, property, and information technology in Colorado, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah, and Wyoming.  The Rocky Mountain Region has a federal inventory of almost 615 government-owned and leased buildings that house nearly 50,000 employees.

Before assuming leadership of the region, Horne served as the program manager for the Presidential Transition Team.  In this capacity, he oversaw the delivery of office space, supplies, and technology to the president-elect’s transition team.  In 2007, Horne served as acting assistant regional administrator for the Federal Acquisition Service. Horne has been director for Public Buildings Service’s Office of Customer Service, business center manager for the Colorado Service Center, and project manager for the implementation of the regional PBS human capital strategy.

Horne joined GSA’s Rocky Mountain Region in 1993 as a property management intern, before becoming a property manager in Fort Collins and Boulder, Colorado.

Horne earned a bachelor’s degree in finance and communications from Regis University in Denver, Colorado.  He is also a graduate of GSA’s Advanced Leadership Development Program.
