  Question
How can I find out whether the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) applies to my situation?
  Answer

Call the ADA Great Lakes Technical Assistance Center at 800-949-4232 or visit www.adagreatlakes.org/. They provide information, training and technical assistance to people with disabilities, businesses and agencies. Their friendly staff will listen to your question and help you determine whether an ADA violation has occurred and what to do about it. They can also send you a wealth of informative material about various aspects of the ADA including employment or access issues related to government or private companies. You can also download or print many resource materials at www.adaportal.org/. Indiana-specific resources include ADA Indiana for information on state activities and projects: www.iidc.indiana.edu/cpps/ada/ or the Civil Rights Commission for complaints about disability discrimination: 800-743-3333 or 232-2600
