Of those with serious mental illness (SMI), the number of adults, in thousands, who have no substance use disorder and no illicit drug use is 11,141; the number, in thousands, who have an alcohol disorder only is 2,377; the number, in thousands who have both illicit drug and alcohol disorders is 779; the number, in thousands, who have an illicit drug disorder only is 893; and the number, in thousands, who do not have a substance use disorder but have past year illicit drug use is 2,294.
