How do I register for a live session?

Registering for ENERGY STAR training is easy.

  1. Search the calendar to find the training session that you want to register for.
  2. Click on the session title or select the Registration link in the Status column and follow the directions.
  3. New users will be asked to install Training Manager on their computer after submitting their registration information. This is a one-time registration and should only take a few seconds.
  4. You should receive a confirmation email shortly after registering. If you do not receive an email within 30 minutes of registering, you should check to ensure that the confirmation email was not rejected by SPAM filters.

What are the system requirements to join a live web conference?

You will need a separate phone line and the following in order to successfully join a live web conference:

  • Windows 98, Me, NT, 2000, or XP
  • Intel x86 (Pentium 400MHZ +) or compatible processor
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 5, 6, Mozilla 1.6 or later, or Netscape 4.7 , 7.x
  • JavaScript and cookies enabled in the browser
  • 56K or faster Internet connection

It is recommended that you test your browser and operating system before attempting to join a session. Start the test Exit ENERGY STAR.

What are the system requirements to view a recorded training?

You will need to have administrative privileges enabled on your PC to allow your computer to automatically install the WebEx Network Recording Player when you select a recording to view. If your computer does not play a recording, check with your system administrator to ensure that your computer has administrative privileges.

Can I attend a training if I use a Mac computer?

Cross-platform support for Mac is available. The following are the system requirements to attend fully interactive training sessions using Training Manager for Mac:

  • Mac OS 10.2 or 10.3
  • Java 1.3.1 & above
  • Javascript & cookies enabled for the browser
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.2 or Safari 1.0 & 1.2
  • 56K or faster Internet connection

Can groups participate?

Groups are encouraged to participate. The best way for a group to participate is to set up a computer and speaker-phone in a conference room where the group can sit together.

How can I provide feedback?

An evaluation form will appear at the end of the conference. Please complete the questions in the evaluation to provide feedback.
