Each year, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy honor organizations that have made notable contributions to energy efficiency through the ENERGY STAR Awards. These awards acknowledge superior technical accomplishments, public education, and promotional efforts to raise consumer awareness of the benefits of ENERGY STAR that result in substantial energy and cost savings and a cleaner environment. Award winners are recognized at an Annual Awards Ceremony in Washington, D.C.
