Getting a Permit for Bulk Mailing
Follow these easy steps and apply to get your Permit.
In order to use your postage meter for bulk mailings, you will need to apply for a bulk mailing permit. Just follow the steps below, and take advantage of the savings and convenience of using your meter to send bulk mail.

 Contact a postage meter manufacturer.
Your selected manufacturer will set you up with your meter and other equipment necessary to print postage for your mailing needs. In many cases, the meter manufacturer will also handle the Mailing Permit Application form.

Get the form and fill it out.
You can download a copy of Form 3615 Mailing Permit Application & Customer Profile or get one from your local Post Office™ or Business Mail Entry Unit.

Check the box "Notification to Present Metered Mail in Bulk".

Present your completed application to your Post Office.
Your local Post Office will process your application and give you a permit number that allows you to use meter postage for bulk mailings. There is no fee for this permit.  You must still pay the bulk mail annual mailing fee.
