Color Test Reagents/Kits for Preliminary Identification of Drugs of Abuse (NIJ Standard-0604.01)
July 2000This NIJ Standard establishes minimum requirements for color test reagents/kits to detect drugs of abuse and methods of testing the reagents to determine compliance with those requirements. This document applies only to identification of drugs in their pure and/or diluted forms; it does not apply to kits that identify drugs through chromatography nor to kits that identify drugs in body fluids. This standard supersedes NIJ Standard–0605.00, Color Test Reagents/Kits for Preliminary Identification of Drugs of Abuse (July 1981).
