Facts About Hypotension - Diseases and Conditions Index

While much has been written about the health risks associated with high blood pressure, this easy to read Fact Sheet details the dangers of hypotension; or low blood pressure. Hypotension is common and sometimes temporary. It becomes a medical concern only if it causes signs and/or symptoms such as dizziness, fainting, or, in extreme cases, shock. The three types of hypotension are explained, along with their causes, symptoms and treatments; orthostatic, neurally mediated, and shock associated. Links to additional resources are included.

This publication is a great introduction for schools and individuals. Easy to read and understand, it has become a part of my efforts to educate everyone in which I come in contact.
