Frequently Requested Records

The Electronic Freedom of Information Act Amendments of 1996 (E-FOIA) contains a provision which requires agencies to permit the public to inspect and copy records that are likely to become the subject of multiple FOIA requests, provided the records were: (1) created after November 1, 1996; and (2) released under FOIA on or after March 31, 1997. In furtherance of Executive Order #13392, "Improving Agency Disclosure of Information," Frank Trinity, General Counsel, has been appointed Chief Freedom of Information Act Officer for the Corporation for National and Community Service.

E-FOIA also requires agencies to make copies of records that will be the subject of multiple FOIA requests available electronically, thus avoiding the need to submit a written FOIA request to the PBGC.

Some of these records are available for inspection and copying at the CNCS Public Reading Room and FOIA Requester Service Center, 1201 New York Ave., NW, Room 10606, Washington, DC 20525, or they can be downloaded from this page.
