NJBPU, New Jersey's Clean Energy Program

Newark, New Jersey

ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year

NJBPU, New Jersey's Clean Energy Program under the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities is working to support the governor's plan to reduce the state's overall energy use 20% by the year 2020. Key to reaching this energy reduction goal are New Jersey's integrated educational, advertising, and public relations campaigns that promote New Jersey's ENERGY STAR Homes Program. This is the second time New Jersey's Clean Energy Program has received ENERGY STAR recognition. Key accomplishments include:

·         Working with builder partners to construct nearly 3,000 ENERGY STAR qualified homes in New Jersey.

·         Enrolling some 3,900 additional new ENERGY STAR qualified homes into the New Jersey ENERGY STAR Homes program.

·         Promoting energy efficiency and the New Jersey ENERGY STAR Homes program by featuring ENERGY STAR qualified homes on NJN News, New Jersey Public Television, as well as in press releases.
