Items on loan from or mailed between academic institutions, public libraries, museums, and other qualified organizations can be sent using Library Mail.

Content is limited to books, sound recordings, academic theses, and certain other items.
Advertising restrictions apply.
Each piece must show in the address or return address the name of a school or nonprofit organization.

Certificate of Mailing – Provides evidence of mailing.

Protection in Transit
Insured Mail – Insurance against loss or damage for merchandise and gifts.
Special Handling - Provides preferential handling for fragile or perishable items.

Confirmation of Delivery
Delivery Confirmation™ – Provides date and time of delivery or attempted delivery.
Signature Confirmation™ – Provides date and time of delivery or attempted delivery and the name of the person who signed for the item.
Collect on Delivery – Allows the postage and price of an item to be collected from the recipient by the USPS and given to the mailer.
Return Receipt - Provides a postcard with the date of delivery and the recipient’s signature.
Restricted Delivery - Confirms that only a specified person (or authorized agent) will receive a piece of mail. Only available with Certified Mail, Insured Mail over $200, or Registered Mail™.
