Figure 5.2 is titled "Past Year Initiates for Illicit Drug Categories: 2004." It is a bar graph, where illicit drug categories are shown on the horizontal axis and the numbers of past year initiates is shown in thousands on the horizontal axis.

The number of past year initiates in 2004 was 2,422,000 for pain relievers, 2,142,000 for marijuana, 1,180,000 for tranquilizers, 998,000 for cocaine, 857,000 for inhalants, 793,000 for stimulants, 607,000 for Ecstasy, 240,000 for sedatives, 235,000 for LSD, 118,000 for Heroin, and 106,000 for PCP.
