Environmental Quality Incentives Program FY-2004 Unfunded Applications Information

Updated 07/20/2005

The following two maps display information on the Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) applications for fiscal year 2004 that were not funded.

This voluntary program addresses both local natural resource needs and national resource priorities. The funding shares the cost with farmers and ranchers for installing conservation practices to improve animal waste management, irrigation water management, grazing land, soil erosion and sediment control, and other environmental concerns. In FY-2004, NRCS allocated more than $718 million to enter more than 46,000 contracts into the program. More than 135,000 applications were not funded in FY-2004, totaling more than $2 billion. Click on each map's data link for detailed information.
