Abstract:

The Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA) is an international membership organization committed to promoting, teaching, and researching safe and proper ways of achieving fitness through aerobic exercise. The Association has a national certification program and training curriculum for aerobic exercise instructors and personal trainers. In addition, AFFA's nonprofit Foundation sponsors fitness-related benefits. The group is supported by workshops, membership dues, and by the sale of subscriptions to its journal.
