Abstract

The Group B Strep Association is a non-profit organization whose main purpose is to educate the medical community, pregnant women and their families about GBS infections and the importance of testing and preventive treatments during pregnancy. The association responds to both mail and telephone requests with up to date information on Group B Strep (GBS), and referrals to support groups. The organization's efforts are supported by a group of researchers and physicians. They are working together to create greater public awareness of GBS infections and generate continuing support for vaccine research.
