USAID and the Tech Awards

USAID Attracts 40+ Tech Award Nominations

USAID's new partnership with The Tech Museum for Innovation has drawn in over 40 additional submissions for the Museum's signature program, The Tech Awards. The nominations were submitted from 17 countries from Africa, Asia, Europe, North America, South America, and the Middle East. Every year, The Tech Awards identifies 25 organizations from around the world that are utilizing innovative technology solutions in the areas of environment, economic development, education, equality, and health. The top five programs each receive $50,000. Thanks to all who submitted nominations and good luck in the competition!

Nominate Tech Laureates

USAID has joined The Tech Museum of Innovation as a partner in supporting the 2009 Tech Awards. The Tech Awards program inspires global engagement in applying technology to humanity's most pressing problems by recognizing individuals, organizations, and companies that use innovative technology solutions to address the most urgent issues facing our planet.

Each year The Tech Awards designates 25 Laureates in five categories: environment, economic development, education, equality, and health. The top five projects receive $50,000 each. Since the program began in 2000, 200 Laureates from 71 countries have gained much-needed publicity and support to develop, implement, and expand their innovative solutions. This is your chance to make sure that innovative projects receive the recognition and support they need to succeed!
