The Maryland Nursing Home Guide is a tool for Marylanders to use when considering or choosing a nursing home. Selecting a nursing home that fits your needs is an important and personal decision. Use the information in this Guide to help you choose a nursing home that is right for you or someone you care about.
The Guide offers a look at more than 200 nursing facilities and 34 Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRCs). It enables visitors to review and compare information on facility and resident characteristics, quality measures, quality indicators, and inspection results.

Although the Guide is continually updated to reflect the most recently available information to help you with research and informed decision making, it does have some limitations. Facility specific information is gathered through an annual survey and interim reports, therefore some of the information that may be several months old at the time of your review. It is therefore advisable that you verify information with the nursing home(s) you are considering
