Progress: The percentage of students receiving child care services who persist in post-secondary education varies widely between projects. Of the 76 respondents that reported data on persistence rates, the rates varied between 11 and 100 percent, with a median of 79 percent. 13 of the grantees reported 100 percent retention rates. Explanation: New program: Little performance data available. Performance data will be collected through 18 month Performance Reports. One year of retention rate data is available, and no completion rate data is available. The program management set performance goals for the 2003 Annual Plan. However, it will be Fall 2004 before the completion rate measure will be meaningful. |
