Naturalization Self Test

Welcome to the Naturalization Self Test for the Old Naturalization Test!

USCIS will begin administering a redesigned (new) naturalization test on October 1, 2008. For more information on the U.S. naturalization test and which test you will take, go to http://www.uscis.gov/citizenshiptest.

The naturalization self test is for the old naturalization test, not the redesigned (new) naturalization test. This is a study tool to help you test your knowledge of U.S. history and the structure of our government. This is not the actual test that you will be given by a USCIS Officer. At your interview, the USCIS Officer may ask you similar questions. You will also be evaluated on your ability to speak, read, write, and understand English at your interview.

When you are ready to begin the self test, click the Generate Questions button to see the first set of questions. Answer each question and then click the Review Answers button at the bottom to see the correct answers to the displayed questions. When you are ready to see more questions, click "Generate Questions" again. Do not use the "Back" button during the test.
