19-20 April 2008 – Dubai, UAE
Many of the State Owned Enterprises (SOEs), which will be featured at the Ministry of Industry and Minerals’ (MIM) Commercial Investment Summit in Dubai have publicly available information on them for potential international partners to use in preparation for the summit. The following is a compilation of the available links to the websites of these companies, investment profiles compiled by MIM, and assessment profiles compiled in 2003 by the Coalition Provisional Authority (CPA). Companies marked with an asterick (*) indicates that the Task Force on Business Stability Operations in Iraq (TFBSO), of the U.S. Department of Defense, has one or more active rehabilitation projects underway. Companies marked with a double asterick (**) indicate factories that have restarted or seen material increases in production or employment resulting from TFBSO efforts. More information on TFBSO’s efforts can be found in the following article from Military Review Magazine.
For any questions on the information below, investing in Iraq, or partnering with Iraqi SOEs, contact the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Iraq Task Force via email (IraqInfo@mail.doc.gov) or toll-free at 1-866-352-IRAQ
