OPEN LETTER TO ALL FEDERAL FIREARMS LICENSEES
ATF REQUESTS ASSISTANCE IN RECOVERING FIREARMS STOLEN DURING THE MURDER OF AN FFL

On August 12, 2006, a murder-robbery occurred at Fast Cash Pawn Shop, 4613 White Horse Road, Greenville South Carolina. The owner of that business, Federal Firearms Licensee (FFL) Tim Henson, died in his store and an employee was critically wounded.

ATF has reviewed the store’s inventory records and has attached a list of the firearms believed to have been stolen and not yet recovered.

We ask that if anyone contacts you for the purposes of buying, selling or trading any of the firearms listed on the attachment, that you immediately contact your local police department and ATF at 1-800-ATF-GUNS or at 864-282-2937.

In addition, for your knowledge and safety, this is the second murder-robbery of a gun shop in Upstate South Carolina within the past two months. ATF is investigating these violent crimes in conjunction with state and local authorities.

We remind you to take full advantage of any security measures you have at your disposal i.e., functional and visible surveillance cameras, alarm/emergency notification systems, in order to help deter and apprehend those responsible for taking life and property.

As always, thank you for your cooperation.
