Celebrating 25 Years of Service: USCIS Service Centers

On Friday, July 14th, USCIS Director Emilio Gonzalez and U.S. Senator Patrick Leahy of Vermont gathered at the Vermont Service Center in St. Albans, Vt. with other USCIS leaders, past and present, to commemorate the achievements of the first 25 years of the Vermont, Texas, Nebraska, and California Service Centers.

Gil Tabor, the founder and first director of the Vermont Service Center, speaks about how the center began 25 years ago in the basement of the St. Albans, Vt. post office with a handful of employees.

Emilio Gonzalez, Director of USCIS, and Paul Novak, Director of the USCIS Vermont Service Center, listen as past center directors speak about their experiences over the last 25 years.
