Certified Explosives Specialist (CES)Program
CES personnel are ATF's primary resource in explosives-related matters. The program is comprised of special agents who are highly trained in explosion investigations and the destruction of explosive materials. They assist other special agents in explosives investigations and training activities by providing technical support and analysis. This includes scene examination, identification of explosives, collection and preservation of evidence, court preparation, presentation of evidence, and technical interpretation of explosives-related information. CES personnel are located thoughout the United States and can be contacted through the local ATF field office.
