Lecture Webcasts The Chemistry and Biology: Partners in Decoding the Genome symposium highlighted the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the larger biomedical research community's unique and exciting scientific insights resulting from the application of modern chemical approaches to the study of important problems in biology and genomics. This area of research is a particular focus of the Molecular Libraries Roadmap, and is being fueled by recent developments in chemical diversity, screening technologies, robotics, genomics and informatics, all of which were highlighted at the meeting. The symposium, sponsored by the National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI) and the National Institute of General Medical Sciences (NIGMS) [nigms.nih.gov], was held March 15-16, 2004, in the main auditorium of the Natcher Conference Center on the NIH campus.
