The Water Science Map Gallery
Welcome to the Water Science for School's
map gallery. The maps available here are thematic maps called
"choropleth maps" that
show water use in the U.S. in 2000, by state. Even if you don't know what
choropleth maps are, you've probably seen them. They use different
colors to represent different ranges of data values. Just select a map
from the menu below.
Here is our library of water-use maps:
- Total water use
- Domestic water use
- Public supply water use
- Irrigation water use
- Industrial water use
- Mining water use
- Thermoelectric power water use
- Hydroelectric water use
- Livestock water use
- Aquaculture water use
