National Health Statistics Reports

Notice: Effective January 2008 the title, National Health Statistics Reports (NHSR), replaces Advance Data from Vital and Health Statistics (AD). NHSRs will be numbered sequentially beginning with 1. The last AD report number is 395.

These reports provide annual data summaries, present analyses of health topics, or present new information on methods or measurement issues.

Full text (.PDF) files are linked to each item appearing in these lists. If for any reason a .PDF file does not exist, a note will indicate that fact. Paper copies of NHSRs may be available for review in a Federal Depository or health sciences library near you.

This report has been taken down in order to revise the estimates in the report. This was necessary due to a problem with double coding of certain procedure codes. At this time, we expect that only the estimates of procedures will be affected, but we are re-checking all of the data. We anticipate that the revised report will be posted in the spring. We advise users who have already downloaded this report, or the NSAS micro data from our website, to await the completion of the review of the data and the posting of the revised micro data, before reporting any NSAS 2006 data.
