Socioeconomic CreditContracting officers may claim socioeconomic credit for COMMITS NG orders in the Federal Procurement Data System or other agency-designated reporting system. COMMITS NG orders provide credit for all the socioeconomic attributes that the awarded firm has on file, with the exception of 8(a) credit, as posted on our online industry partner spreadsheet. Please see the below guidance on claiming socioeconomic credit.Claiming Socioeconomic Credit - DODThe following information is an excerpt from the FPDS-NG User’s Manual at Section 3.4 captioned "PURCHASER INFORMATION". For additional guidance, please view the DOD policy on Reporting Funding Organization Data to FPDS. In a nutshell, when an agency is reporting its own task orders, it must fill in the contracting office agency ID and contracting office ID. When the record with its socioeconomic credit is completed, it will be tied to the organization. The task order information is then matched up as an order against the applicable COMMITS NexGen contract number (referenced IDV). For DOD Agencies, the task order takes on all of the characteristics of the parent GWAC (referenced IDV). When ordering for a customer agency, you must complete the following in order to transfer the socioeconomic credit to the customer:

This code cannot be changed when the document is in final status unless a modification to specifically transfer responsibility to another office is issued. This field uses FIPS 95 codes to identify contracting office agencies.
