Valley Electric Association (Ivanpah Energy Center) Transmission Project, NV, DOE/EIS-0354

The Ivanpah Energy Center would be located in the northern Ivanpah Valley in southern Clark County, 25 miles south of Las Vegas, Nev.  It would provide electric power to the southern Nevada power grid.

A wastewater treatment plant would be located near Jean, Nevada, and a transmission interconnection would extend to the proposed Table Mountain Substation.

Electricity from the powerplant would enter the southern Nevada power grid via a 43 mile-long transmission line to Western's Mead Substation. The Bureau of Land Management is the lead Federal agency.
