Salt River Project launches a program to introduce students to the science of solar energy generation, and provide schools with clean electricity. This second installment of a two-part update on energy-efficient cooling technologies looks at an energy-storage system with great potential for peak-load management. Energy Services is inviting the families of customers and employees to share energy-saving ideas for Western's participation in Energy Star's "Change the World" campaign. Utilities and consumers can use these Web sites to help determine if a cooling system upgrade is cost-effective. The EECBG program is making funding available to municipal utilities and Indian tribes for projects that increase economic vitality, energy security and environmental quality. |
