Can the general public use Western's services?

Western provides energy services information, such as energy education information and publications, to the general public if the request is reasonable. If you have a detailed request for specific information, you may need to file a request through the Freedom of Information Act. For more information on submitting a FOIA request for IRPs and small customer plan information, see the IRP section.

While long-term, firm power customers can always get technical assistance and other information without additional cost (unless a cost-shared, larger technical assistance project such as a workshop has been arranged), members of the general public may not be entitled to free services. End consumers of Western's power customers are allowed to use the Power Line service for free. Other members of the public should contact the customer representative for their location or Western's Corporate Services Office.
