Q: Where can I locate ONDCP employment information?
A:

All available ONDCP employment positions, as well as positions for other Federal agencies, are posted on the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Web site.

Q: Does ONDCP have a student internship program?
A:

The ONDCP Student Internship Program allows students to gain educational and work experience within various components of ONDCP. Internship opportunities within ONDCP are unpaid positions working at least two days a week with a minimum commitment of two months (not exceeding 90 days in duration).

Q: How can I order ONDCP publications?
A:

Through a partnership with the National Criminal Justice Reference Service (NCJRS), ONDCP is offering you the ability to order select publication right from the ONDCP site (e.g. The National Drug Control Strategy). Click the Order Print Copy icon () to access NCJRS's online ordering system wherever the icon appears.

In addition, all of the ONDCP resources that are available in hardcopy can be ordered online using the NCJRS site. NCJRS also offers publications and resources from Department of Justice agencies, including the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA), Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS), National Institute of Justice (NIJ), Office for Victims of Crime (OVC), and the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP).

Q: Do you have a listing of the counties/zip codes involved in High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) efforts?
A:

We do not maintain a listing of the zip codes for the areas that are involved in HIDTA efforts. To locate information about the specific counties that participate in HIDTA activities, please visit our HIDTA page. From there, you can click on the HIDTA(s) of interest to find the geographic area of responsibility (listing of counties), phone number, and efforts of the HIDTA. A listing of the Federal, State, and local agencies involved in each HIDTA's efforts are also provided.

Q: Where can I locate a listing of High Intensity Financial Crime Areas (HIFCAs)?
A:

The HIFCA program falls under the U.S. Department of the Treasury's Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN). A map and listing of HIFCA regions can be found on the FinCEN Web site. For further information about the HIFCA program, please contact FinCEN directly.

Q: Where can I report illegal drug activity?
A:

Because ONDCP is not a law enforcement agency, we do not have the authority to investigate illegal activities. Please contact your local law enforcement agencies (city police department and/or County sheriff's office) with any information you may have. You can also submit information anonymously using the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Submit a Tip online form. You can also contact the DEA Field Office responsible for your area.

A:

Q: How can I locate a drug treatment program?
A:

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) has developed a Web site and telephone hotline to aid in finding treatment facilities in different areas of the country. Please visit the Treatment Facility Locator Web site or call 800–662–HELP (4357) to obtain this information.

Q: How long can a drug be detected in one's system?
A:

You can view information about drug detection times in the "Pros and Cons of the Various Drug Testing Methods" table found in the ONDCP resource, What You Need to Know about Drug Testing in Schools. We also suggest you contact a drug testing facility directly for information and assistance.

A:
