Canal Point/Sugarcane introduction

Evaluation of New Canal Point Sugarcane Clones

Each of these yearly reports records yields of cane and sugar from the previous growing season's tests of recently developed sugarcane clones. Yields are reported as metric tons of cane per hectare, metric tons of sugar per hectare, and kilograms of sugar per metric ton of cane. Each clone is rated for its susceptibility to diseases and to cold temperatures. The audience for these publications includes geneticists, researchers, growers, extension agents, and individuals in industry who are interested in sugarcane clone development.

While supplies last, you may order one free copy of each report by e-mail (click here) or by writing to USDA-ARS-SAA, U.S. Sugarcane Field Station, HCR Box 8, Canal Point, FL 33438.
